I needed to be in the New Town area and found The Gables by chance on the internet. I found the accommodation to be very satisifying as it was a lovely room - beautifully decorated, comfortable bed, clean and a good location if you don't require views or need to be in the city centre of Hobart.
Street parking but it's a very wide street in a residential location surrounded by beautiful old homes of the same era as The Gables.
If you require total privacy, it is ideal as you don't actually check IN or OUT with the owners or a receptionist, as I was contacted by SMS with how to get into room and where room is located. Deposit is made via credit card on booking and remainder is charged on departure!
I thoroughly recommend The Gables and will stay there again when next visiting Hobart.
