The grounds were unkept with grass in the shared courtyard of the unit being 300mm to 600mm high, some effort had been made to reduce the vegetation in the lawn area adjacent to the road and this was piled up in the corner of the yard. The chairs in the room had torn upholstery on the arms and this appears to have been so for some time. The towels supplied were torn.
Hobart was a great city to visit with lots of attractions to visit, and day trips using Hobart as the night base was highly successful (Port Arthur, Southport, Richmond,Ross)
